Terms & Conditions

1. Who we are
Little Name Stories is a trading name of David Glover, a sole trader. Our address is . You can contact us at .
2. What we sell
We sell personalised children's picture books. Each book is printed to order with the child's first name, the 'From' line and, if you choose to add them, your own short message and a photo. At the moment we offer a paperback only. A hardback is coming soon.
3. Placing an order
You choose the boy or girl version, type the details to be printed, then pay securely through Stripe. Your order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation (Stripe's emailed receipt is your first confirmation of payment). If we can't accept an order, for example because something can't be printed, we will tell you and refund you in full.
Please check the name, the 'From' line, any message and any photo carefully before you pay. If you add a photo, please only use one you have the right to use. We print exactly what you enter, so we can't be responsible for spelling mistakes in the details you give us.
4. Prices and postage
Prices are in pounds sterling (£). The paperback is £19.99. Postage within the UK is £3.99 and is added at checkout. The total you see on the Stripe checkout page, before you pay, is the total you will be charged.
5. Delivery
We currently deliver to addresses in the UK only. The United States and Ireland are coming soon.
Books are made to order, so we usually deliver within 7–14 days after your order. This is an estimate, not a guarantee, and busy periods such as December can take longer. If your book hasn't arrived after that time, please contact us and we'll look into it.
Your book is printed and posted for us by a printing and delivery service. The risk of loss or damage passes to you once the book is delivered to the address you gave us. Please make sure your delivery address is correct, because we can't change it once a book has been printed.
6. Cancelling and returns: personalised books
Because each book is made to your specification and personalised with your child's name, the 14-day right to cancel that applies to most online purchases does not apply to it (regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013). This means we can't accept cancellations or returns just because you've changed your mind. If you need to correct a mistake you've made in your order, contact us straight away. If the book hasn't gone to print yet we'll do our best to change it for you, but we can't promise this.
7. Faulty, damaged or misprinted books
Your legal rights are not affected by anything on this page. If your book arrives faulty, damaged, or printed differently from the details you gave us (for example, the wrong name or the wrong version), please email us at as soon as you can, with your order details and a photo. We will replace the book or refund you, whichever you prefer, and we will pay the cost of any return we ask for. If the mistake was in the details you entered when ordering, the book is as ordered, but please get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
8. Our content
The story, artwork and design of the books and this website belong to us. They are for your personal use. Please don't copy them or sell them on.
We may refuse an order if the name, message or photo is offensive or unlawful. If we do, we will refund you in full.
9. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms, or for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as postal strikes or severe weather.
10. Your personal information
How we use your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
11. Complaints
If you're not happy, please tell us at and we'll try to put it right quickly.
12. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live. We may update these terms from time to time; the terms that apply to your order are the ones on this page when you placed it.
